2. Now, you will want to take your child to the local fabric store and allow them to select the material that they want to use in their bathroom. You should encourage your child to select fabric that will be matched to a particular theme that will be used in the bathroom. For example, if your son selects pirate decorated material, you will want to ensure that the theme of the bathroom is pirates. If your daughter selects a Barbie material, the theme of the bathroom should be Barbie. You should allow a couple of hours for this task. In many cases, the selection is overwhelming and it may take your child some time to decide on the most appropriate material.

3. Now, once the material is selected, you should have a little bit extra cut to ensure that you have plenty available. Before even visiting the store, you should have measured the bathroom window that you will be creating curtains for. I personally suggest getting twice as much than is necessary. This way, if an accident does occur, you will have plenty to start over with. If an accident does not occur, you can take the extra material and create many unique items for the kid’s bathroom.

4. Once you have had the material cut at the fabric store, you should purchase a good pair of cutting scissors, a tape measure for reinforcements, and some Liquid Sew.

5. When you get home, you need to measure out the material to the window. There is a saying “Measure twice, so you only cut once”. It is important to adhere to this when it comes to creating bathroom curtains.

6. Now, take what will be the top part of the curtains where the curtain rod will fit in and fold it over. You can use straight pins to ensure that it is kept straight.

7. Once you have completed this task, take the Liquid Sew and apply a then layer in order to create stability in the fold where the curtain rod will be placed. You will want to allow up to four hours or more for the Liquid Sew to dry.

8. You may elect to fold up the bottoms of the curtains in the same manner, and place Liquid Sew on them.

9. While you are waiting on the actual curtains to dry, you can take some scrap material and create some nice little tie backs for the curtains.

10. Once the curtains are dry, put in your curtain rods and hang!
